There have been a number of songs that have inspired my writing and  a number of people have asked what it is I listen to, what inspires me and where my ideas come from. I figured I’d use this page as a way to communicate that information. If you can think of anything that inspires you, please feel free to comment or add your own ideas. I look forward to hearing them!

2. There’s a dream sequence and I heard this song in my head. “Heavy in your Arms” by Florence and the Machine

3.  Samantha can’t seem to trust herself. “A Beautiful Lie” by 30 Seconds to Mars. (Jared Leto would make a great Damien….OMG!)

4. Awesome song.”what if I wanted to fight…” “The Kill” by 30 Seconds to Mars

5. Samantha’s relationship with Ethan is breaking…”Violet Hill” by Coldplay

TORN

1. The inspiration for TORN came from one song. “All I Need” by Within Temptation

2. Samantha’s “angry song”. “Break Stuff” by Limp Bizkit (explicit lyrics)

3. Song playing when Samantha decides to take matters into her own hands. “Hallelujah” by Justin Timberlake and Matt Morris

4. This song reminded me of when Samantha and Sebastian finally meet. “Attack” by 30 Seconds to Mars

THREE DAYS OF RAIN

1. The inspiration for Three Days of Rain came from a song of the same title written performed by a friend, Jason Liberatore.

2. This song describes the relationship between Jake and Madison. “Bad Romance” by 30 Seconds to Mars

3. This is the song I think of when I think of Lily and Jake. “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol

4. This song pushed me through Jake’s demons and memories. “Walk” by Foo Fighters

5. This song broke my writer’s block about 3/4 of the way through. No idea why 🙂 “Rebel Yell” by Billy Idol

OTHER STUFF
